What a difference the sun makes.

LOCATION: Rocky Mountains, British Columbia, Canada.

Ah, today I write this blog whilst sitting outside, its awesome. Its late in the evening and the ice hockey final is on. The Vancouver Canucks are in against Boston Bruins, so of course all the good Canadians are glued to their T. Vs right now, I'm sitting outside enjoying the warm weather that is finally here. As an Australian I think I can be excused from the festivities, it is no AFL game.

From where I sit I have an almost 360 degree view of the snow capped mountains, it has been a bit slow to melt this year, but its happening. It looks absolutely amazing with the sun beginning to set on them casting a nice mix of shadow and light. Would get a photo but I still haven't found my adaptor to charge my Aussie battery in Canada.

Today after a long walk in the sun I finally found a running route I liked, I don't like running on flat ground, I like hills and uneven surfaces and what I had been running on was just too flat with only a little uphill and it really did not get me in the running mood. I stumbled upon another trail, so now, connecting the new one and the one I already had, it is a brilliant moderate 50 minute run. Perfect for days when I want to get my heart rate up but not do it tough. So my 2 week lapse of when I had to leave my running partner behind in Calgary and only managing to get out a handful of times is over, I have found my passion to run again, and it feels great, my mind is so clear and satisfied now I have done a great run on a great trail in GREAT weather.  Warrior Dash here I come!
