That has to change I know, I find that when I a ready to leave, I can become an awesome saver..But that is why I have that trapped feeling now, I am ready to leave, but now I need to save, not to mention the fact that I still am kind of living to please others and not doing what I truly want, oh man, I cannot explain the thoughts going though my head right now, so much stuff that I want to do, things to see, places to go..people to meet. Its late in the evening and the ice hockey final is on. The Vancouver Canucks are in against Boston Bruins, so of course all the good Canadians are glued to their T. Vs right now, I'm sitting outside enjoying the warm weather that is finally here. As an Australian I think I can be excused from the festivities, it is no AFL game.

From where I sit I have an almost 360 degree view of the snow capped mountains, it has been a bit slow to melt this year, but its happening. It looks absolutely amazing with the sun beginning to set on them casting a nice mix of shadow and light. Would get a photo but I still haven't found my adaptor to charge my Aussie battery in Canada.

Today after a long walk in the sun I finally found a running route I liked, I don't like running on flat ground, I like hills and uneven surfaces and what I had been running on was just too flat with only a little uphill and it really did not get me in the running mood. I stumbled upon another trail, so now, connecting the new one and the one I already had, it is a brilliant moderate 50 minute run. Perfect for days when I want to get my heart rate up but not do it tough. So my 2 week lapse of when I had to leave my running partner behind in Calgary and only managing to get out a handful of times is over, I have found my passion to run again, and it feels great, my mind is so clear and satisfied now I have done a great run on a great trail in GREAT weather. Warrior Dash here I come!

Ch ch ch Changes

LOCATION: Rocky Mountains, British Columbia, Canada

I find it very interesting to read back on past blogs, little things I write in my diary (one of the many diaries I start and never finish) or even finding little things scribbled on bits of paper, sometimes I can't even remember why I wanted to remember a particular thing.

Sometimes I will be in straight out denial, that even though its written on paper by my own sober hand "There is no way I ever liked that boy!" and the paper gets screwed up and tossed to the trash.

For some reason I have an obsession with writing down the first things I ate drank and saw,for the new year or after a birthday, things that other people may find boring but for me, I wish I had done it more often.

In 20 years time will I still remember I liked a certain thing? But now every second I feel like something is going to happen and it will get taken away from me, I feel as though I don't deserve it or that I'm going to disappoint, maybe I was hired because they thought I was something; then I come along and they are like, What was I thinking??

I'm constantly over thinking things through at work, I may think of doing something or saying something, then I think, maybe I shouldn't then it turns out I should have. Hmm, I'm an adult I think I'm going to snack on some breakfast, for me, this thought is incredibly exciting and as a child a little scoldable, I don't think my housies are going to scold me for it :D

I really should learn to sleep.

Procrastination

LOCATION: Rocky Mountains, British Columbia, Canada

He he,
So I'm working my way up to go for a run, I will go, eventually anywho, thought I might catch you guys up on some things. I have not worked for over a month now, not because I am a jobless bum, but because I took a chance at getting a job I really wanted..and it worked :D but now I just have to wait for the job to start. So I'm sitting in my room, in a town where I have ZERO friends, bored out of my mind, mindlessly watching movies and checking face book every 5 minutes. Why don't I go for a run or long walk...Cant be bothered. So silly I know.

I'm like that all the time, the more I have to do the more I can fit in, I could work 3 am to 6 pm on a dairy farm and still go for a run, or go do something. I worked 2 jobs on a ski hill and still found time to drink my savings, board and get into trouble. But no, Give an active girl nothing to do, and she will do ....nothing. Must say my room is pretty clean..that's a rare thing. Gah why do I do that!!? I know I will be kicking myself when I do start work and wish I was fitter, especially when I see all the hot chicks around with their tans and fit legs and the guys hanging off them, HA who am I kidding no one is hotter then me :D :D okay.. so yeah.

I'm very bored, and all you people who dream of doing.. you know the world travel thing I'm doing.... are screaming at your computer screens, saying HOW CAN YOU BE BORED OVERSEAS. well, because you can. Just because you are in another country doesn't make your life perfect. But I must say It is a freaking good life. Being able to be bored in another country seems to be more romantic then being bored in your home town. Most of the time.

Digital Woes

LOCATION: Rocky Mountains, British Columbia, Canada

So I have just been going through all the photos on my laptop, The amount of photos I have compiled in the last 3 years is..Ridiculous; Over 7000 photos I have managed to collect, what happened to the ease of the film camera, where films were ...I cant even remember the cost and every photo you took (if you cared about budget) was carefully thought about? That way in a year the average photographer would have around 50 to 100 photos, not thousands and they could instantly be put into an album..Not now, I haven't spent money on my camera in years. I point, shoot and upload to my computer and start again. That's how I now have 55 gig taken up by crap.

I bought an external drive to put it all on. I m currently trying to go through it all, because half the time I don't even name the photos, and seeing I have the attention span of a goldfish, I usually name about 10 photos and get distracted by something like the pattern on my roof, so I have no idea the locations anymore

Where do I start with the sorting? Some pictures I have taken like 6 of the one thing, just slightly different angles and since I have inherited part of my parents hoarding gene, sometimes no matter how ridiculous the photo..I think, maybe I took it for a reason and I just cant see it yet, o it gets put into yet another folder named “sort” or sometimes I get lazy and just name it “hsfjshkfh”. Gosh Darn, this is going to be a looong process.

The Changing Faces of January

LOCATION: North Canterbury New Zealand. 27/01/10

Warm days in North Canterbury are few and far between, even in the Summer, I suppose it is warmer then the winters and frosty mornings it gives us, but I have found my craving for hot weather has not been satisfied and I am getting quite frustrated with being cold all the time, a feeling you can never quite understand unless you have lived in a climate that when it is summer, it really is summer! Ill feelings about the weather aside, today North Canterbury gave us a brilliant day, The weather was warm, and clear and when it throws us a warm day, it also ends it brilliantly with a beautiful pastle sunset and crisp clean breeze to cool the earth gradually to ensure a comfortable nights sleep.

Tomorrow I hope it again gives us a warm day, I plan to go to the beach and then find some bush to go hiking in. I'am on rostered days off at the moment, and I am am incredibly happy the weather has been kind.

Yesterday was Australia day, I jokingly tried to get the day off as I'am Australian and in Australia it is a public holiday! Instead after work I had a mini BBQ, nothing fancy, just sausages and was trying to get through some of the abundance of alcohol that had been accumulated from being the last back packer standing on the farm, I have been left with many a bottles of spirits from others, who cannot take it with them, including my own collection. Unfortunatly, my other work mates had to work the next day so we couldnt really get stuck in.
It was great chilling out to some classic aussie hits and playing my favorite version of Advance Australia Fair by Adam Hill...look it up on You tube.
I felt a pang of homesickness, knowing most people will being having BBQs, drinking and catching up with each other at the beach, but at the moment, I'm on a big adventure, and I soon got stuck into clearing a paddock of wood.

The boss has been away and we have had the 2IC in charge, (that makes me 3IC!!!)she is fun, but also makes sure we get our work done.

The start of January saw the return of Kaylee a Canadian girl who helped us out just before christmas, she is due to leave in a couple of days, Kaylee is great to work with and super fun! She lived with me for about a week in my small 1 bedroom apartment, Kaylee didnt seem to mind the couch and it was like being on camp everyday while she stayed.

                                                                  Facials With Kaylee ^

The middle of January saw Ronan finish up working here, and no longer being my next door neighbour, It was sad to see him leave, the person I spent almost a year working and living very closely with, and at one stage we had the same days off. Seeing him everyday had become like a habit to me, and when he left, it was strange not to see his car, or seeing Kaylee come through the door instead of him,
But I'm used to saying goodbye to people, being a scout you meet many people and forge many great friendships, and one thing I have learned, is that you will see them again and if you dont the fantasic memories are there forever.

Before he left we went on a trip to dunedin...seperate blog.

Now the end of January has seen a new arrival, new next door neighbour new person to get used to, I could
just run over to Ronan and plant myself on one of his chairs, I hesitate on weather to visit the new arrival, trying to work him out, he is from Ireland, and an ag collage student, same age as me, seems like he will be fun and easy to get along with.
Kaylee and I greeted him at the airport with a big sign, he took it well...good start lol.

This month I have seen the movies Lovely Bones and Avartar3D, both were different to what I expected and both didn't dissapoint me. I also saw Paranormal Activity and many sleepless nights followed, Kaylee and I bought a blanket to hide under in the cinema, and oh boy did we hide, seeing Ronan jump was enough to let me know that I was glad I was hiding.

I also rented the movie UP, again other brilliant, unexpected movie, which I think
will appeal more to adults then kids.

Well I will write about Dunedin now, while Day of the Triffords plays in the background and I read Kathy Reichs, Deja Dead, yes as a woman I can multitask, or I have a short attention span, however u like to veiw it.
And If my net ever connects, will upload these.

  Night All

-Seamonkey xx

<georss:box>-51.591629847699494 157.50000025 -35.6964218476995 -172.61718775</georss:box>

Flappy Ewe Ear Every Bunny!!

I would like to personally welcome 2010, I hope you enjoy your stay with us, we have high hopes for what you may bring and understand it is up to us to make the most of you before you move on.....

Wow, hard to belive its been 10 years since 2000, I cant belive how many things have changed for me, where I have been and where I am going.

The end of 2009 was a nice affair, I'm a little dissapointed on how tired I was but I did do a full day of work before going to celebrate the festivities in Christchurch City.

Work mate Ronan an Irish guy who has been working in NZ since July 2008, and I went into Christchurch and bar hopped starting at Bailies, then to Sullivans, Tree House and Boogie nights until we ended up in the square, much to my delight the band I go to Sullivans to see "The Black Velvet Band (an irish band)"was playing at the square and would be ringing in the new year. It was a very Irish affair, with a bag piper playing in the final minute before the 10 second countdown, the new year was then seen in with fireworks and bubbles. It was great to be among the first countries to see in 2010.

It was then back to Boogie Nights then Sullivans before tiredness and tired high heel battered feet made me need to turn in.

New Years Day started off brilliantly, and it stayed that way, after months of cold mother nature gave us in Christchurch a new years gift, a warm 28 degree day and I am very gratefull to my boss for giving us the day off!!

First thing I ate for 2010, Breakfast at Drexels. 3 egg vegetarian omelte, hash brown and a bite of Ronans French toast.
First Alcoholic Drink, Johnny Walker and coke
First Drink, Hot Chocolate at the hotel

First Movie I watched for 2010, Star Trek and loved it

The day has now ended with a cool to warm breeze and the fresh New Zealand air blowing over me with a pale orange sunset, its hard to describe how beautiful it is to see the breeze blowing the grass that has since gone to seed whilst looking over at the mountains. (photo above)

I am looking forward to making 2010 my year at the same time it scares me shitless... but I do know this year is going to take me many places, I wil meet many people and grow even more as a person.

Will be posting a new years video on youtube and will attach the link when I have done so

Love to all my family and friends,
Goodnight xx

Sooo I'm writing a blog

So, this is not my first blog I have attempted to start, blogging is a bit like diary writing for me, I start one...never goes anywhere... I often think I should write down certain moments, because there is so many we forget.

I dont know when it came to me, somewhere inbetween steak cooking on my stove and me getting annoyed that the only 2 channels I manage to get both have cooking shows on but I decided to google blogging, and start this up.

Anyways here I am, writing a blog, I dont have my own website like mr aussieninja, www.aussieninja.com but I hope to have one one day, for now, here it is!!!

A leaf from Seamonkey

Follow me on my travels, delve into the strange workings of my mind, most of all I hope this will be like a diary for me so I can remember the amazing things I will be doing and seeing, the people I will meet, and meet again. And hopefully you may just be able to find somthing I do inspiring, or even just makes darn sense, and take a leaf from me ;).... does that make sence? Do you like my play in words??

ttyl
